Sea World San Diego - Part 5

So we went to the Hospitality Centre and enjoyed a drink and the shade there.  Craig and Hunter had also gone on the Wild Arctic Ride, so we talked about riding that.

Hunter took this picture for us

You thought the eagle had picked Craig up and was flying away with him didn't you??

Kenzie, of course found some pretty PINK flowers, she had to have

On our way over to the Arctic Ride we decided to go to Journey to Atlantis instead, Dad and Craig wanted to ride it.  Unfortunately it wasn't going but we did get to see the Commerson's dolphins though.  It was around this time that Kingston woke up, and he was loving watching them swim around while he ate some cheerios.  They were really fast, and small and cute.

It didn't seem like they were going to get the ride up and going anytime soon, so we walked down to the Wild Arctic one instead.  Of course by the time we got there, that ride was also down, but we could walk through and see the animals inside.

Besides the Killer Whales, the other animal Hunter was excited about seeing was a Beluga Whale.

We watched the polar bear for a little while

The walls were really ice, it was cold.

The Walrus was HUGE

We saw the Beluga again, from underwater

Then we emptied out into...

surprise, surprise

the gift shop.

Kingy like the stuffed Polar Bears, but we didn't buy anything

I tried to get a picture of the whole gang as they waited outside

We consulted our map again and decided we had about an hour, before we needed to start heading to Shamu Stadium to get seated for the Believe show, sooooo,  we had seen some aquariums right in the back of the park, and decided we'd go over and check them out.

We walked back past the Manatee Rescue, Hunter stopped for a quick picture, but we didn't really have time to go through again.

Hunter and I got a little further ahead of the others, so we stopped and looked at the flamingos for a while, they were very pink, must be  a good diet at Sea World.  Hunter got to feed them quickly.

Finally we went through the aquarium de la mer, which is right down under the Cirque Stadium

And then to the California tide pool where we got to see and touch the Sea Stars.  Yeah they aren't called Starfish anymore, because....

they're not fish!

Who knew?

Once we were done there, and the rest of the group had caught up to us, we headed over to Shamu Stadium, parked up the stroller and tried to find some good seats.
