May 2011

I've been severely neglecting my blog, I can't believe it's been almost a year since I've posted here. So I'm going to try my best to update more often. We took the kids to Fairfield City Farm today. It was a great way to spend a cool Autumn morning. The kids enjoyed it, they got to feed and pat different animals, milk a cow and go for a tractor ride. Funnily enough, the one who didn't really want to go at all, was the one who enjoyed it the most. Here's some pictures from the day.

Craig fed a camel

Hunter did too

Then he made friends with a goat

We saw a little Joey named Snuzzles

Put the kids in the blocks........I think I need one of these for home

Met a mummy Kangaroo, see the Joey in her pouch?

Getting a ride from dad

We met this friendly young Wallaby who Hunter adored, he kept coming back to him and wanted to bring him home

Tatum wanted to meet him too

Ahhhh

A hug from daddy to make it all better

She won't fall for that trick again

Farmer Hunter milking Isabelle the Jersey Cow

Kingston cautiously patting her, he prefers his milk from a carton out of the fridge :)

Mackenzie had a turn too, this was her favourite part of the day

Back to see our friendly Wallaby one last time before we had to leave

I captured Tatum sitting on the back step this afternoon with her pony. She loves to be outside.

Then uh-oh! Kingston left a yoghurt on the coffee table, right where a little bug could find it. Yummy.

The days are definitely getting cooler, but when the sun is out, its lovely to be outside. The trees all look so pretty with their leaves turning red. I snapped this picture at the park the other day, our streets are lined with these trees. It's so pretty.

In other news.....

Kingston got this play dough set for his birthday, and it's really getting a workout.

Tatum is learning to read and write
okay well not really, but she does like to do whatever the big kids are doing

Kingy is mad about Star Wars, so he can't pop bubbles with his hands like other little kids, our little Jedi uses a light saber. It also doubles as a weapon for warding off bedroom monsters as I learnt this week after he had a nightmare and only went back into his room once he had his light saber armed and ready.

Tatum learned to say car this week. Maybe because she loves to ride around in this one out on the patio.
It gives her an interesting hairstyle too.

A new addition

I can't believe it's August already, we've had a busy few months.

I'm pleased to introduce you to the newest member of our family. Baby number 4.

We didn't find out the sex beforehand, and much to Mackenzie's delight, we now have another lovely little girl.

Here are some pictures from the last four weeks. Tatum is a wonderful baby. She is very content and sweet, and a champion at feeding and sleeping. We are all in love with her.

Tatum-Ivy Maxine, arrived on Saturday July 10th at 6:37pm. She was 8 days late, but suddenly decided she was in a hurry to arrive, we had an amazing, rapid, one hour labour. It was just Craig and I and the 2 midwives. The other kids were home with my mum and brother Kellum.

The proud dad gets his first cuddle.

Here she is on the Sunday morning. The whole gang came up to meet her. The kids were beyond excited and super proud to meet their baby sister, even Kingston. He was adamant he was getting a baby brother, with the possible name of Black Dragon.

We were doing so well, I was able to convince the midwives to let us go home early, so within 24 hours we were happily back at home. Tatum got lots of love from everyone.

Here's Tatum with my mum, Maxine, that's where Tatum's middle name comes from.

Proud Uncle Kellum gets a cuddle.

Nana with all the grandkids.

Hunter tried his hand at burping the baby.

We received lovely flowers and gifts, including this "bubcake" from Craig's work, it was made from nappies, a towel, blanket, wrap, bibs, socks, singlets and bodysuits. How creative!

Here's Tatum on Day 4.

I love her little hands

And feet

Yep, it's a picture of me, the proud mummy

Napping with daddy.

Another nap...........

I had two babies asleep on me

One week old.

Tatum is about 9 days old here.

When Tatum was 2 weeks old, we were treated to another visit from my mum, this time coming with my dad so he could meet his new granddaughter.

Once the big kids were back at school, it was just Kingston and Tatum at home, she gets lots of love from him. He calls her Princess and Angel. I think he's forgotten how he wanted a brother, although he did tell me, he thinks Ace would be a better name for her.

Naptime with Hunter

Kisses from Kingston

Now that she's getting bigger, Tatum has been enjoying her play gym.
Although she doesn't often get a moment to herself. She has lots of "helpers".

4 peas in a pod.

And so we arrive at today. Tatum is 4 weeks old now, and still adored by all.

We are so blessed.
