Sea World San Diego - DIP

Craig and Hunter were doing the Dolphin Interaction Programme.  First they suited up in wetsuits, then they went into a classroom for a quick lesson.  We arrived just as they were coming out to the pools.

Here they are all excited and ready to start.

Poor Hunter, the water was freezing, he was shivering!  It was around 55 degrees. (12 celcius)

They got to know their dolphin a little

Hunter said the skin was really smooth

Craig got his turn too.  There were 2 other people in their group with them

Then they got to try out some of the signals for tricks they had been taught

Hunter was up next

He was a little apprehensive, but really enjoyed himself

The dolphin gave them all a big splash, it was crazy how much water there was

Apparently, dolphins and Killer Whales LOVE ice, so they got to throw some ice to the dolphin

They were in the water for about 30 minutes, then it was time to say goodbye to their dolphin friend

Smile if you had fun!

We left the boys, as they went in to have a hot shower and change.  We had a tour to take and would meet them at 2 when we were done.
