Once we got inside, we had to get upstairs to the casino to go to the Rainforest Cafe. The kids had seen the one in Downtown disney and thought it looked fun, but we didn't have time to eat there, and I knew there was one in Vegas.
So Craig took the kids up the escalator, while I took Kingston in the elevator, thinking we'd meet just upstairs. BIG MISTAKE!! The elevator emptied out in front of the casino. I had Craig's phone, so I couldn't call him, and I had no idea where I was. I hoped he decided to head to the restaurant, and that's where I headed.
Or so I thought.
That has to be one of the biggest most confusing casinos I've been in. I was starting to get a bit panicky that I may never find them, but somehow after what seemed like hours, I made it there.
Lunch was good. The kids enjoyed the Rainforest effects. I was dying to order the volcano dessert, (think a mountain of chocolate) but we were all stuffed, so that will have to wait for next time.
Here's Kingston with my Mum and Dad
After lunch, Dad decided to go and have a look around the casino, so the rest of us went to check out the M&M store, and Coke World. It was nothing too exciting. We split up again after that, Craig and Hunter went to a video arcade and Mum and I took Kenzie and Kingston back to the Luxor, I was hoping Kingston would sleep in the stroller again, and he didn't disappoint.
We stopped and took some pictures along the way.
New York, New York
Mum and Kenzie
Craig and Dad had talked about riding the roller coaster, but somehow they never quite managed it.
Excalibur, aka the Castle
These are some pictures from the Luxor, it has some really neat theming around the grounds.
When we got to the hotel, I realized that Hunter had my room key in his pocket, so he hung out with mum until they got back. The kids were desperate to try out the pool, so we left sleeping Kingston with my mum and took them down there.
By the time they were done swimming, my parents were getting ready to go out for the night and Kingston was still sleeping, so we decided to walk over to Excalibur and check out their arcade and maybe grab some dinner. We messed around and played some games, Hunter and Craig went to a Spongebob 3d movie. They enjoyed it. Kenzie did NOT want to go on it.
Spongebob is one of the kids favourite shows. Even Kingston recognizes Spongebob, so they wanted to take their picture with the statue by the movie.
Kenzie decided to do one of Kingston's "bite" poses.
We played some more games and Kingston won a stuffed giraffe, which he didn't want so hunter scored it. When we were done we just grabbed the kids some McDonalds and donuts for dinner.
you know,
another nice healthy dinner
Then we headed back to get the kids to bed, we had a big day of driving ahead of us the next day.
Once the kids were asleep Craig went out to meet up with my mum and dad, they'd been to the Carrot Top show, they said it was good, and he was really funny.
