Disneyland Day 2 - Part 3

Back at the hotel, the kids swam, Kingston napped, we visited the concierge for snacks and Kenzie picked up a dvd of Sleeping Beauty to watch in our room.  Around 5 we went back down to the concierge, where we had drinks, they served beer and wine, and we ate some very tasty quesadillas.

Our plan was to head back into Disneyland for the 7pm parade.  So with our tummies full we headed off.  It was a quick walk.  We decided we'd head to Nemo and see how the line was, thinking it might be a good time to ride it while everyone else was watching the parade.  It was
out of order.  Hmmm.  By this stage it was about 630, the streets were lined with people waiting for the parade and  some walkways were roped off, we decided to skip the parade and walked toward New Orleans Square.  We saw that the Mark Twain Riverboat was just loading to leave at 645 so we jumped onboard.

Kenzie didn't want to ride the boat, so she went inside to sit and sulk.

She wasn't impressed that I took her picture either, but soon she was happy again!

Hunter enjoyed the boat ride, even though it got dark pretty quickly and was hard to see.  I gave the kids a glow stick each, that I had got from the dollar tree.

We came off the boat and headed in search of the bathrooms.  This was a common problem we had at Disneyland, we could never find the bathrooms, they seemed to be really well hidden!
Eventually we ended up in Adventureland, as we walked by the Indiana Jones ride, we saw the wait time was only 20 minutes, and Hunter really wanted to go on it, so we agreed to meet back by the tree in half an hour.

I took Kingston and Kenzie for a walk.  We looked at the Pirates ride, and Haunted Mansion all lit up.  We went down into Critter Country and Kenzie posed by a pot of Winnie the Pooh's Hunny.

Then we walked back around and bought a bucket of popcorn as we sat by the River's of America and enjoyed the scenery.  Those are their glow sticks making the picture fuzzy!
.

It was time to meet the boys, as we got closer to the tree I saw them sitting there.  Craig did not look happy!  Turns out as they got to the front of the queue, Hunter freaked out and decided he didn't want to ride after all, so they had been waiting for us for all that time.

Poor Hunter!

Poor Craig!

So I suggested he stay and try to ride something else, while I walked back with the kids.

We stopped at the World of Disney Store, in Downtown Disney.  I bought kingston a new CARS character, with his spending money, and the kids saw about 3000 things they wanted to buy.  I said we'd come back tomorrow to look again.  They were happy to do that so we went back to the hotel, watched another Princess bedtime story, Snow White, I think.  And they were quickly asleep!  Craig got back not long after us, bearing drinks from the bar downstairs, and pretty soon we were sound asleep too.
