The 4D show "It's tough to be a Bug" was just about to begin, I told Craig I heard it was scary, but he kept going in anyway, so I parked the stroller and followed. We went down into a cave and pretty soon they opened the doors and we were seated. We put on the 3D glasses and the show began. It was cute, but yes, a little scary. Hunter began to cry when the giant spiders came down from the ceiling. Kenzie, surprisingly didn't mind this one too much. Kingston thought it was a riot! That boy loves him some bugs!
By now, it was insanely hot, and there's not much in the way of shelter in DCA. They did have a little water play area, so the kids splashed in that a little trying to cool off.
The theming in this area was outstanding,
we had fun looking around,
we managed to go on a couple of rides, Hunter and Craig did the dodgem one, which they enjoyed.
Kenzie and I rode flick's flyers, which was similar to Dumbo except we were in a giant raisin box. She liked it a lot. It was getting closer to lunchtime so I got kenzie changed into her Ariel dress.
Poor Kingy, he was so hot.
Hunter and Craig decided to ride Heimlich's chew chew train, so we sat and watched them.
Once they were done we left A Bug's Land, we walked by the Mission Tortilla factory, and since we were roasting, and starving we decided to go inside. This is the kids peeking through the window at the tortillas. Inside was lovely and air conditioned, we got to see how they make tortillas and then we got to sample one. Yummy!
