Craig had to work on the Saturday before father's day, so I got together with a friend and we took the six kids out to the blue mountains. It took about an hour to get out there, it's a nice scenic drive, but of course the was one part when we were almost there where the road was winding and I heard a little voice from the back say "I think I have to throw up". Oh Mackenzie! Luckily I was able to toss back something for her to use. Then we made a quick stop to dispose of the evidence.
The kids were happy to get out of the car and stretch their legs for a few minutes.
That's Sydney city you can see way way way in the distance.
We made another brief stop in Katoomba where we grabbed some food for lunch.
After lunch, we were off to see the mountains.
Here's Gretch and the kids heading to the walking tracks.
Our little monkeys.
The view from the top is quite spectacular
There's a cable car you ride across in to get a great view. We didn't this time, but the kids really want to go back with Craig, so I'm sure we'll do it then.
Kingy doing some rock climbing, yes he has a car in his hand......he never leaves home without one!
Gretchen and her 3 girls.
After walking the tracks for a while we got some ice-creams and the kids played at the playground. The trip home was very quiet, everyone was tired after our big day out.
