A Princess Tea Party

Mackenzie decided she wanted a Princess Party, and a Tea Party, So the end result was a Princess Tea Party.

I decided to make the cake, we looked through my cake book and nothing really jumped out at me, so I came up with my own idea. The princesses I ordered from ebay. It was my first time using the fondant icing, it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, and in the end, she was sooooo happy with the cake, and that's what mattered, oh and it was DELICIOUS!!

My wonderful friend Lisa, decorated these shoes for Mackenzie, and they finally fit, so she was excited to wear them.

Here she is all dressed and waiting for her friends to arrive. We had the party scheduled to start at 11am, with a special guest arriving at 11:15.

We had invited 7 little princesses and they came, they were all wearing pretty dresses and very excited. They couldn't believe their eyes when Sleeping Beauty came to the door.
She took them into the backyard and for the next 2 hours, they hung on her every word.

She introduced herself to the girls and learned all their names

She showed them her pet seal, Sammy, who came with her from fairyland.

Mackenzie sat in the middle on a special toadstool

Soon the girls got up and did a conga line

They loved it!

Next they partnered up to learn how to waltz, first Kenzie danced with Paige

And then Abbie

After the dancing they all sat down again

Sleeping Beauty blew some bubbles for the girls to catch, which they brought back to her, and she told them which fairytale character they had caught. It was adorable.

Up next was pass the parcel

The girls passed around the glass box

And if they had it when the music stopped, they chose a prize from the box

The birthday girl got to pick two prizes

Everyone thought that was lots of fun

Time for some more dancing

The Limbo

Then it was face painting time

Here's the Birthday girl

While the girls took turns getting their faces painted, we started the tea party

The "tea" was apple and blackcurrant juice

Once everyone had their face painted, it was cake time

And then Sleeping Beauty had to leave, she told the girl to watch for her magic bubble and wave goodbye.

We decided to play a game of put the princess in her window, it was fun

Then the girls came inside and Mackenzie opened her presents and they played with her toys until all the parents came.

It was an awesome party, and very stressfree for Craig and myself, which was good, since we had a babysitter coming in that night, so we could go to the Coldpay concert.
Coldplay were amazing! Can't wait to see them again!
